They were friendly. We were there on a super busy day and they didn’t have a big selection of regular bikes so they offered to upgrade to an e-bike for free. The only thing is we didn’t get was a repair kit like we normally do but that was the only missing thing. This is our 6th year doing the Creeper Trail with our family. We have always gone to this shop or their other shop in town. Would recommend and do plan to return.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience renting electric “Rad Power” mountain bikes from DBR. The staff member was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful (and patient when we were delayed by rain). We decided to ride both up and down the VA Creeper Trail (40 miles total). The bikes had 4 levels of power (plus a throttle that we did not use), but we rode them on level 2 and got both a good workout and a nice level of speed, while conserving power. (We made it back with 2 bars of power out of 5!) With the fat tires we could easily bump up and down over rocky areas, puddles and the trestle bridges. So much fun, beautiful scenery and a great (but not exhausting) workout. Thank you Damascus Bike Rentals, we’ll be back!

Our first time on the creeper trail and also first time renting e-bikes. We had a great time! The gentleman that helped us was very kind. The shuttle was about a 30-40 min drive up to White Top. It was about 2.5 hours back down. We took our time. There were signs off the trail for the e-bike return. Honestly didn’t need the e-bikes because it’s mostly downhill or flat but we just wanted to try them out.

Nice people and an amazing area. The shuttle vans needed service as there were a few lights on the dashboard but our driver got us there and it was a good drive. The guys at the shop helped you pick out the right bike and it was an amazing trip. Thank you.

It was a great time. There were 5 of us and we were treated really well, the team was very attentive to what we wanted. We did have an issue with one of the bikes at the end of the trail but the team handled it immediately. Would use them again.

My family of 6 used Damascus Bike Rental for our Creeper Trail adventure today. The bikes were nice. We were all fitted with our own preferences and levels of comfort. I rode an Electra Townie with a Cloud-9 comfort seat and it was great! My sons chose Haro bikes and loved them. They sent us with a tool bag with extra inner tubes and pump. Somehow I got a leak in my tire but was able to make it back thanks to the pump. We left from Damascus and were shuttled by an extremely pleasant and friendly driver to White Top. It was quite crowded on the trail. But we still enjoyed it.
The only down side to our trip was the distance back to the shopping center where we got our bikes and left our car. We were given the option of stopping at a shop closer to town but we wanted to get to our car without requiring shuttling. However, the distance was very far and flat (at least two more miles). And then we had to push our bikes up a steep hill to the parking lot of the shop. If using Damascus Bike Rental, I suggest stopping at the shop by Subway at the end of the ride.
Also, take food with you for after the trip. The few restaurants around were extremely packed.

This is such an awesome business! The people there are so nice and they let you try out your bikes and ride them around the parking lot before you go, so you can make sure you are comfortable. They also give you free water for your ride and a popsicle afterwards! The bikes are very nice and they even have electric ones which helped my elderly relatives. I seriously couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank y’all so much!

The Virginia Creeper Trail is one of my favorite places to visit and Damascus Bike Rentals has everything that you could ever need to get you there. The trail is one stunning view after another. September/early October and May are my favorite times to ride the trail. Anyone at any age that can ride a bike can do this trail. Plan to spend the entire day doing riding this trail because there are so many breathtaking places to stop and enjoy. Don’t forget to stop at the Creeper Trail Cafe for their famous chocolate cake! Go and take the whole family!
